Safety and your data
Who we are
Safar is a private service made by [to be published]. We are not the MVD, not Gosuslugi and not an embassy. We do not issue or sell permits, registration, medical certificates or insurance.
We never
- call you or message you on WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO or other messengers;
- ask you to transfer money to a card or a phone number;
- ask for an SMS code, your Gosuslugi password or a photo of your bank card;
- promise "a permit in 1 day" or "fix things" with the MVD.
You can pay us only in the app or on our website safar-app.ru — through the YooKassa payment page. There is no other way.
Where your data is
On our server in Russia
Only if you: connect to your employer; ask the assistant or translator (only the question text, without your name or documents); turn on backup (it is encrypted on your phone — we cannot read it); pay for Premium.
With your employer
Only after you connect and confirm. They see: your full name and citizenship; numbers and deadlines of your permit, registration, insurance and medical certificate; photos of documents and receipts that you send yourself.
Your employer does NOT see: your chats, contacts and photos on your phone; where you are; your questions to the assistant and your practice answers.
How we protect your data
- The server and database are in Yandex Cloud, in Russia.
- Document photos on the server are stored encrypted.
- Backup is encrypted on your phone. Without your code nobody can read it, not even us.
- Yandex does not use questions to the assistant to train its models.
- Browser notifications are not used in the pilot version: reminders on the website come via a calendar file, and no data goes to browsers' notification services.
- We do not sell or share your data with partners or advertisers.
How to delete everything
In the app: "More" → "Delete my data". Your data is deleted from your phone and from our server, and the employer connection is removed.

How to spot a scammer
- They promise a permit, registration or medical certificate "without queues" and "in 1 day" — for money. Permits are issued only by the MVD. Registration is done at the address where you live.
- They ask you to transfer money to a private person's card.
- They message you on behalf of the MVD, Gosuslugi or Safar in a messenger.
- They ask for an SMS code or your Gosuslugi password.
- The website looks official, but the address is different. Official websites: gosuslugi.ru, мвд.рф. Our website is only safar-app.ru.
- They ask you to "just lend" your bank card or open a card in your name for someone else's money. This is a criminal offence.
If you were cheated
Do not pay any more. Keep the messages, phone numbers and receipts. Go to the police: 102 (from a mobile — 112). In the app: "Rights" → "Cheated".
Documents
The documents are in Russian. If something is unclear, write to us and we will explain.
